“Location: Qafë-Ploçë, pumpkin shop on Pogradec-Korça street”
“Climbing the snaky road of Qafë-Plloça, after you have left behind the city of Pogradec and you turn towards Korca, an improvised pumpkin store in differen colours and sizes, carefully arranged for showcases, with a background of foliage, attracts you. It’s a very eye-catching picturesque situation, but on the other hand, it shows symbolically the day-to-day struggles of the poor and simple traders. Often excited by these picturesque and meaningful installations, I have tried to attach my sympathy to these unexpected and quite modest situations, through an almost hyper realistic treatment. Nothing else happens there, just waiting and surviving.” - Text from the artist.
